Update November 19th, 2020

Hi Everyone. As many of you now know, Dr. Bonny Henry mandated masks for all retail locations throughout the province today.

“Masks are now required for everyone in all public indoor settings and workplaces. People who cannot wear a mask or who cannot put on or remove a mask on their own are exempt.
Employers are expected to enforce the mandatory mask policy with both employees and customers. A customer can be refused entry or service if they do not wear a mask. Masks are required in all indoor public settings and all retail stores.”

This means that effective immediately, you will be required to wear a mask at all times, including in common areas, while shopping at Cottonwood. We ask that you remain kind & patient with our retailers & security team as they continue to provide our customers and staff with a safe working and shopping environment.

UPDATE: September 22nd, 2020

Starting on October 5th, Cottonwood will be open from 10am to 6pm daily. While all of our retailers are now open, they may still have restricted hours, or require appointments. Please visit our Store Directory for the latest information, or call them directly.

Our Food Court is completely open, but you will still be required to practice social distancing.

Each retailer has their own set of protocols for safety around the pandemic, but we encourage you to wear a mask at all times while shopping at Cottonwood. Further, if you are not feeling well, or showing any signs of cold or flu, we ask that you DO NOT visit the property. We also ask that you pay attention to directional signage while visiting Cottonwood for your own safety, and that of other customers and staff.

On March 16th following instruction by the BC Government, most of our 70+ retailers began temporarily closing their doors to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Almost two months have passed, and a lot has changed. For all of us.

We would like to extend gratitude to the Cottonwood retailers who stayed open throughout phase 1 of the pandemic to support our community. It was a scary time, and caused a lot of stress for everyone. We are very proud to call these retailers part of “our team”.

Further, we would like to thank our Cottonwood Operations & Security staff who worked throughout phase 1 of the pandemic. Because Cottonwood has some “essential services”, we were not able to close completely. Due to fire regulations, our main doors needed to remain open, and therefore despite most of our retailers being temporarily closed, the Centre remained open throughout Phase 1. As you can imagine, this created some challenges in making sure the Centre stayed safe & clean for retail staff & customers. Our team did a fantastic job. Thanks to all of you!

On May 6th, the BC Premiere announced that the Province will begin to move into phase 2 of the BC Restart Plan. This includes phasing in some careful social interaction & lifting some of the restrictions on business activity. As such, most Cottonwood retailers will begin the process of re-opening their stores to shoppers starting Tuesday, May 19th. The Centre will be open 11am to 6pm daily. We will not be open “regular” hours for some time to allow our retailers time to hire staff if needed, get their stores back into operating condition, & create their own in-store protocols for safe social distancing, and cleaning/sanitizing. Not all of our retailers will open on the 19th. Please visit our Store Directory for information, or call the store directly for the most updated information on hours and opening.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
