Doesn’t everyone have a slobby clothes drawer?

2020-07-23T14:19:26-08:00

Haven't we always had a drawer full of "slobby/sloppy clothes"? You know, the ones we wear when nobody is looking? The drawer that is filled with favorites that nobody outside of our kids and partner is allowed to see. This drawer normally houses our pajamas, and also a variety of clothing. I have my "hair dying shirt", my "cleaning with bleach shirt", my "painting shirt", my gardening shirt (and shoes) and then there is a whole stack of my old t shirts that I wear to bake or cook or to just chill at home. The common denominator with all of these [...]

Whats going on over there?

2020-06-12T14:45:07-08:00

While most of Cottonwood was closed during the lock-down, our building projects kept moving forward. This week we began construction on our new freestanding retail pad located between Burger King & Earls. We have been getting some questions about which retailers will be in that building, and unfortunately all we can say right now is that we will make announcements on that project in the future. We expect completion of this building to coincide with the larger Save on Foods/Old Navy/Club 16/Cora project for early 2021. But you know...construction....anything can happen! We also wanted to show you a map of [...]

Welcome Back!

2021-06-24T10:10:40-08:00

Update November 19th, 2020 Hi Everyone. As many of you now know, Dr. Bonny Henry mandated masks for all retail locations throughout the province today. "Masks are now required for everyone in all public indoor settings and workplaces. People who cannot wear a mask or who cannot put on or remove a mask on their own are exempt. Employers are expected to enforce the mandatory mask policy with both employees and customers. A customer can be refused entry or service if they do not wear a mask. Masks are required in all indoor public settings and all retail stores." This [...]

2020-04-27T11:51:37-08:00

COVID-19 has thrown a wrench into a lot of plans & special days, and it's looking like Mothers Day 2020 (Sunday, May 10th) is going to be one of them. With most stores closed, and most of us unable to be in the same room with our loved ones, celebrating anything right now means getting creative...at a distance! If you live near your mom, we thought we would give you an idea starter for doing something special together, at a distance. The general idea is to create your mamma a special Mothers Day care package she can use to make dinner, [...]

How to care for your sweaters!

2020-04-15T08:43:37-08:00

Wash Less  No Hanging No Dryer No Pilling Keep them out of the washing machine! Laundering is the #1 cause of wear and tear on knit wear. Because we often wear clothing items under our sweaters, and also because we don't tend to sweat a lot in our cold weather clothing, there is often less of a need to wash sweaters like we might with other clothing items. Good News....because washing machines are to sweaters what drugs are to human beings. They cause knits to stretch, shrink, fray, become misshapen, [...]

Protect your hair this winter

2020-04-07T08:53:39-08:00

Buh bye winter fuzz! Winter is hard on hair. Really hard. The air is very dry, cold and harsh. The conditions often leave our hair feeling dehydrated, fuzzy and unmanageable. Give dry hair the boot with these products! Add Moisture Leave in conditioner: Use a leave in conditioner through the winter that will provide an extra layer of moisture. Leave in Oil Based Moisture: Apply a small amount of anti-fuzz oil into damp hair, and allow to air dry. We really like "It's a 10" Miracle Oil + Keratin". Weekly Deep Treatments: You can do these yourself at [...]
