It's purpose was once at it's most basic a holiday where the wealthy "boxed up gifts" and gave them to the poor, or gave money to those in need or people in service positions.

So, to honour Boxing Day's original intention, why not pick up a deal or two today to donate to your favorite Chilliwack charity? Sox, undies, toiletries (feminine hygiene supplies, soap, razors, shampoo, tooth paste & tooth brush etc.), baby supplies, or pet supplies are often very welcome.
